The City of Pflugerville, where quality meets life, is growing and improving every day and we are always on the lookout for outstanding individuals to join our team!  Currently, we are in search of a Business Process Analyst.  See the essential duties and responsibilities below. We will be selecting applicants for this position.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain City wide performance measures and benchmark internally and externally
  2. Primary lead with the selection, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the City's ERP system
  3. Review and recommend business process improvement strategies and integration with the ERP system on a continual basis to include performance measure improvement strategies
  4. Conducts complex and sensitive administrative, operational, and management analyses, studies, and research projects including those involving City-wide issues, program, policies, and procedures; selects, adapts, and applies appropriate research and statistical techniques; gathers and analyzes data and information from various sources on a variety of specialized projects.
  5. Evaluate city processes and make recommendations for efficiency improvement
  6. Monitor, measure and provide feedback on process performance
  7. Review and make recommendations to City policies
  8. Monitor strategic planning objectives and make recommendations for improvement
  9. Develop and maintain a community dashboard
  10. Review, evaluate and assist with implementation of business process changes and innovations across departments
  11. Develop, implement and lead process design workshops
  12. Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts and financial reports
  13. Assist in evaluation of the City's annual budget and related documents to include financial forecasting
  14. Develop or modify written procedures relating to departmental processes and communicate with others.
  15. Promotes innovation, critical thinking and creativity in developing approaches and solutions to the City needs. Empowers all levels of staff to be proactive and participatory.  Promotes, encourages and leads collaboratively in seeking new ways to share resources, ideas and best practices in order to optimize service delivery organization wide.
  16. Prepare special reports and conduct research as requested by department management
  17. Coordinate and review the work of others
  18. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and safety rules
  19. Become thoroughly familiar with every aspect of departmental processes
  20. Work on special projects as requested
  21. Work affectively across departmental lines; collaborate affectively with other departments
  22. Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Certification Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field, required
  • 3 years of experience in municipal government, preferably in Finance desired
  • Master's in Public Administration highly preferred
